TIPS

Most dogs can wear two widths comfortably. For example, our 12 pound Rat Terrier mix, Obi, wears a 3/4” nicely, but can also pull off a 1” wide collar. So how to you choose? If you walk your dog by the collar (and not a harness), choosing the wider width can help disperse the pressure on your dog’s neck, making for a more comfortable walk.

Examples

Obi, our very own 12 lb Rat Terrier mix can wear a Standard 1” dog Collar or a Narrow 3/4" Collar. He pulls both off well.

A whippet can wear a Standard 1" collar or a Wide 1.5" collar. The long neck so characteristic of sight hounds are great for wider collars.
